MIAMI (Oct. 29, 2024) – Leading talent advisory firm DHR Global announces that Kymberly O’Brien has joined the firm as Partner in the Miami office. She is a member of the Financial Officer and Nonprofit Practice Groups and the Leadership Consulting team, further strengthening the firm’s presence and capabilities in Southern Florida. O’Brien brings over 25 years of distinguished entrepreneurial leadership, executive coaching, and senior-level retained search expertise, serving clients across multiple industries. O’Brien’s deep industry insights and client-first philosophy have consistently led to successful C-suite and senior executive placements, particularly in the finance, accounting, and nonprofit sectors.
Prior to joining DHR, O’brien served as Co-President of a prominent management consulting firm, where she focused on executive search and leadership coaching, driving organizational transformation through strategic placements. Her career began as an Assistant Controller in financial services, followed by a role as Division Director at a national recruiting firm. She later dedicated over 14 years to a boutique executive search firm, building an exceptional track record in placing C-suite leaders who have driven growth and innovation across their organizations.
O’Brien also spent 16 years as an adjunct professor at the Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology and The State University of New York Brockport. During her tenure, she mentored more than 1,600 graduate and undergraduate business students, many of whom have ascended into key leadership roles within their respective industries.

O’Brien holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from The State University of New York Brockport. She is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) through the Co-Active Training Institute, a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a Certified Confidence Coach (CCC) through the American Confidence Institute (ACI).
Outside of her professional endeavors, O’Brien remains deeply committed to mentoring and community service. She is a business mentor at 1909, a tech incubator in West Palm Beach, Florida dedicated to fostering growth among early-stage entrepreneurs and small business owners. Additionally, for the past 10 years, she has been an active board member of St. Ann’s Community-Ann’s Angels and currently serves as Board Advisor for the International Coaching Federation’s South Florida Charter Chapter.
