Experience

In the early days of her career, Katie helped build teams for Chicago-based firms Morningstar Inc. and Groupon, followed by 5 years at J.P. Morgan. At JPM, she was responsible for recruiting and retaining top talent in the Private and Commercial Banking organizations. She also helped create a new Commercial Bank Analyst/Associate Treasury Services program to retain rising leaders.

Katie was born and raised in small-town Minnesota, with limited interest in sitting on a frozen lake with her dad all winter, she developed quite an affinity towards indoor cold weather entertainment.

She moved to Chicago to attend DePaul University and graduated with a B.A. in Communications. She has been involved in DePaul’s Alumni Sharing Knowledge (ASK) Network, where she connected with recent college grads on career insights. She also ran, raised money and volunteered for Girls on the Run – Chicago; a non-profit organization that works to inspire girls across the city to be confident and healthy.

Katie and her husband live just outside Chicago with their children John, Maddie and Margot, and dog, Rosie.
